Hejira formed of mutual friends Jeff, joel, matt and tim in August 2002. Tim didn't want to play drums but they made him, Jeff wrote a bunch of stuff and sang a bunch. tracks from hejira's ablum 'how to land' are on SFU's radio CJSF (90.1 FM).

Stephen Toon grew up surrounded by a family of musicians and has been playing guitar and singing ever since. For the past 5 years he has been writing and performing his songs incorporating his reflections on life. He's excited to be working with a new band including Lisa Toon on vocals, Jonathan Inc's Michelle Grunert on keyboards, and more.
