Long Weekend Cabin Get-Away with Live Music:
MAY 17-18, 2003 - Beautiful House Gallery Lounge
hosted the first annual long weekend get-away at River's
Edge Cabins 3.5 hours from Vancouver along the
Nahatlatch River located in the Fraser Canyon near
Boston Bar off Highway #1.
A good-sized crowd of 16 friends and new faces showed
up for our 'trial run' outdoor event including two
days of getting some well deserved R&R and getting
to know each other in a scenic and secluded setting
enjoyed by all. We enjoyed eating exceptionally well,
walks, campfire hopping, cabin hopping, stargazing
and more. Singer/songwriter Yael Wand performed live
acoustic music around the campfire. Cliff Howard also
hosted an informal campfire sing-along and Virginia
Young played drums.
