Getting There:

1. GETTING TO BOSTON BAR: Take Highway #1 to Boston Bar. From the Vancouver and lower mainland area, take the Highway #1 exit at Hope to the Fraser Canyon. Boston Bar is 67 kilometres East (North) on Highway #1 from Hope.

2. FROM BOSTON BAR: Turn West to North Bend across from the ESSO station (Left if you are approaching from the South; Right if you are approaching from the North). Follow the road to North Bend across the bridge over the Fraser River (about 1 kilometre). Stay on the main road through the small community of North Bend. This road will take you all the way to the cabins located 22.5 kilometres away. At kilometre 9, you will come to a fork in the road - make sure to stay LEFT. At kilometre 11.5, stay RIGHT at another fork. You will cross the Nahatlatch River at kilometre 13.5 on a high bridge. REO Rafting Resort (reorafting.com) is located at kilometre 14.5. Stay on the MAIN road which will follow the river. Shortly after you pass the kilometre 22 sign, you will see a sign for River's Edge. Turn left into the driveway.

3. CENTRAL MEETING PLACE: We plan on arriving at Cabin 5 between 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm on Saturday, May 17 depending on traffic. If you've got your own cabin or tent, be sure to stop by once you've settled in. We'll be leaving Monday morning.

 

Essentials To Bring Along:

1. DRINKING WATER: Please come prepared for drinking water including water to wash your hands and dishes.

2. FOOD/BEVERAGES: Please bring your own food and beverages. Food, beverages (including alcohol and ice) are available in the nearby town of Boston Bar. Boston Bar also has convenience stores, gas stations, and restaurants. Don't forget about condiments and snacks.

3. BEDDING/TOILETRIES: Please bring your own sleeping bag, pillow, and toiletry items including hand towels, soap, toilet paper, flashlights, insect repellant, and a first-aid kit. Don't forget your tent if you are planning on camping around one of the cabins!

4. OUTDOOR CLOTHING: Be prepared for all types of weather. Bring shorts, sandals, beach towels, and warm weather clothing for the daytime in case it gets hot. Bring extra socks, shoes, jackets, gloves and toques to keep warm and toasty at night in case it gets windy or chilly.

5. RECREATIONAL ITEMS: Feel free to bring along reading material, board games, frisbees, guitars, bikes, running shoes, hiking boots, cameras, etc.
