painfully obvious that Pennsylvania's Denison Witmer
was something special. The simple guitar picking and
reedy vocals captured the essence of this young songwriter

could drown it out. While his peers (he is a mere
twenty two years old) are mining the potent ground
of emotive indie rock and strong pop hooks, Witmer
