Lurking in the shadows of the independent music scene for over ten years, perpetuating its list of credentials in a deliciously clandestine grassroots sneak-attack, Over The Rhine's muted popularity spreads primarily by word-of-mouth - when you first hear the critically-acclaimed 'Good Dog Bad Dog,' you want everyone you know to experience the dreamy, drippy-incense-candle-and-oriental-rug effects of the recording. So you buy everybody and their mother a copy for Christmas. And the cycle continues.

"They've shared the stage with the likes of Shawn Colvin, Cowboy Junkies, and Bob Dylan. They've toured Europe six times and looped the continental United States repeatedly. They have an e-mail announcement list composed of over 6,000 devoted fans worldwide. They've been courted by several major labels, including Capitol Records. They have even been immortalized with characters bearing the names of the co-frontmen on an X-Files episode...
