Michelle has been a dear friend and long-time supporter
of Beautiful House since day 1. Did you hear that?
Day 1.
When the concept
of Beautiful House was forming in our heads out of
a common desire to build a positive community with
music and art here in Vancouver, Michelle was there
lending an ear, a hand, and a voice. She pulled together
our first musical performance with Deb
Seelly and continually draws a big crowd of friends
to our events. Without her support, Open
The Door wouldn't have happened. Thanks Michelle!
Michelle has performed jazz standards and lounge
exotica with Rinat
De Picciotto at the first 7 events until she left
for Guatemala in the summer of 2000 where she "tremendously
enjoyed" a year of teaching.
Back in Vancouver since summer 2001, Michelle began
her career as a highschool teacher and is working
in Maple Ridge, BC.
Upon her return from Guatemala in 2001, Michelle
and Rinat
De Picciotto went into the recording studio of
Shaun Warder to record a few covers including Sarah
McLachlan's Ice Cream. Wanna download the song as
an mp3? Email
us.
Michelle has supported the local arts scene for many
years and introduced us to Coco Love Alcorn way back
when she was singing at the Blue Note Cafe.
We're glad to have this bH cheerleader back in our
community of artists and look forward to her continued
involvement, support, contributions and feedback of
this project we call bH.
