Lisa O'Neill is a 23-year old singer/songwriter from Northern Ireland who moved with her family to Vancouver Island in 1993. Lisa turned her love of poetry into songwriting at the age of 17 after teaching herself to play guitar. Lisa then took to the stage playing regularly at open mic nights throughout Victoria and Vancouver, BC.

Lisa O'Neill's music is a compelling blend of rich folk tradition from Irish and North American roots, resulting in a style that is uniquely her own. It has been described as melodic, lyrical and deeply moving. Lisa's powerful lyrics radiant from deep within her soul and her inspired song-writing is filled with passion and grace.

NEWS: Currently Lisa is completing her BFA at Emily Carr Institute of Art & Design in Vancouver, BC and recording new material with her new band, Red Orchestra. Lisa can also be seen as a model for Souldaisy's Fall 2003 collection.

Beautiful House Events:

A year after her first 2 performances at Beautiful House, Lisa O'Neill returned to our stage with sing-songwriter and guitarist, Danny McCulloch of Vancouver's Rainspider band performing songs from her debut CD Internal on March 2, 2002 when we presented our 15th event Irish Spring. Lisa returned again a few month later for Sweet 16 - Indie Women In Music. Lisa originally performed for us at Angel (Nov 2000) and The Four Loves (Feb 2001).

Lisa discovered Beautiful House in November 2000 when we presented Angel at Starry Dynamo Cafe on Main Street. As we have an open mic around midnight at each of our events, Lisa and her friend Craig Norton performed a few songs with her guitar. Lisa returned as one of our featured performers for The Four Loves event held February 10, 2001 at Starry Dynamo Cafe and continues to be a big crowd pleaser.
