As you wind through the maze of
an antique storage facility, hidden in the back corner,
is Denise Holliday, swaying in an old wooden rocker
with guitar in hand, feet perched on the unlit wood-
stove. This is where some of the earliest material
by this singer, songwriter was crafted. This storage
facility is actually the home where Denise grew up,
amongst the teacups and silver of her parents antique
business in London, Ontario.
Denise’s self-taught guitar
and vocals have developed as a result of a love of
the craft and a short stint with the the strap-ons.
Listeners have said that, 'Denise's
singing is soulful, passionate, and a reflection of
self, with a strength and confidence that resonates.'
'Letting it all hand out', Denise's
debut cd, is cathartic, expressive and reflects the
many sides of an evolving artist.
Currently residing in Vancouver,
British Columbia, Denise can be seen performing in
the local area.
