Parlour Steps aim to corrupt the
Vancouver musical norm. Mixing melodic space-pop with
haunting vocal harmonies, Parlour Steps draw from
sources some would call hopelessly broad and whimsical
in scope: pre-WWII cabaret, expansive post-punk, taut
and structured pop gems, experimental jazz, even electronica.
The band's debut full-length album, Myth of Summer,
displayed their interest in these many things audio,
mixing them up to form a beautiful and cohesive vision.
The band's early career saw them giving compositional
support to a wide range of theatre events and cross-genre
experiments.

Parlour Steps finds Caleb Stull
singing and playing guitar, Kim Stewart singing and
playing bass, Josephine Lee bowing the violin, Rees
Haynes leading guitar, and Rob Linton on the drum
kit. With these skillfull purveyors of engaging and
beautiful music on board, Parlour Steps will follow
their hearts to where the art is.
