Combining electronic and acoustic
influences, Sonicjoy is more than just a band, it
is a concept. Sonicjoy represents the soul connection
between all people and things. It is the influence
that we unconsciously invoke on the world around us.
Described as a cross between Delerium and the Tea
Party, Sonicjoy blends electronica trance vibes with
world beats and middle eastern acoustic instrumentation.
Sonicjoy is built around the ethereal lyrics and vocals
of Joyelle
Brandt.

electronica redefined...
Featuring a global collection of
instruments, Sonicjoy incorporates everything from
tabla to snake charmer to djembe. Sam Ryan brings
his talents as producer, engineer, musician and co-writer
to this exciting new project. A host of talented musicians
join them on their journey, including guitarist Mike
Rogerson.
Sonicjoys debut EP Sanctuary
was released January 2001 on MP3.com, and continues
to gain widespread exposure via the internet. The
result of this exposure has been musical collaborations
with Norweigan group Amethystium and the U.S. electronica
duo Positively Dark.
Sonicjoy has appeared live at Reckless
Abandon and recently performed at Starry Dynamo Cafe
and Beautiful House Gallery Lounge in Vancouver.
