one never knows, just how far, just how close we are

Fronted by female vocalist, Rebecca
Rowan, Maplewood Lane is as good as they come!
Maplewood Lane is a five-piece band
from the Vancouver area who have been playing together
since 1998.
Happy to be alive, to be able to
smile, Maplewood Lane's debut CD Autumn On The Radio
was released in 2001 with a new recording on its way.
Having been fans and supporters
of both The
Pale and Jonathan
Inc for quite a while, we made it down to Western
Washington University recently where Jonathan
Inc opened the night for The
Pale's 3rd CD release, Gravity Gets Things Done.
Unbeknownst to us, this would be Ryan Worsley's final
performance with his American band The
Pale as he embarks on serious production and performing
with his Canadian band, Maplewood Lane.
Happy to see the sky, to see the
sun as it shines down, Maplewood Lane are currently
in the process of recording their third album with
musician and producer Jonathan Anderson (Stabilo
Boss, Radiogram, Jonathan
Inc.).
Maplewood Lane's past shows have
ranged from local concerts to music festivals such
as Tomfest (Portland) and the Berry Festival (Abbotsford).
They have also reached Top 30 radio lists in Spokane
and the Bellingham area.
With influences from Neil Young
to The Verve and Red House Painters, producer Jon
Anderson describes them as "...a cross between
The Cranberries and My Bloody Valentine". We
recommend this band for fans of The
Innocence Mission and Mazzy Star.
