Newhouse
AUGUST 2000: Jazz
Pianist and Composer, James Newhouse has played piano
for the past 25 years and jazz for the past 10 years.
Also a composer, James studied Audio Production at Vancouver's Columbia Academy for two years.
He has had regular gigs at Capone's in Vancouver and Chianti
in West Vancouver.
We
were pleased to have James accompany jazz vocalist,
Joellel Lush,
on piano as Beautiful House Gallery Lounge presented
Angel
our first annual Christmas event, Friday November
24, 2000 at Starry Dynamo Cafe.
James
and Joellel
began the evening with some soulful jazz and gospel
tunes. Carmen DesOrmeaux of The
Ubyssey noted that "the duet's rendition
of 'Autumn Leaves' was particularly moving." - we'd have to agree.
